                                  Dear Imagine Family,

Welcome to a new school year at Imagine Schools where there is excitement in the air!

It is with great pleasure and humility that I look forward to serving each one of you this coming year. We are sure to have a spectacular school year when each one of us unites around Imagines’ Six Measures of Excellence that will bind us together with common goals and vision!

                                  Parent Choice and Satisfaction:
We are here to serve you and your children! The most reliable indicator of accountability and quality comes from our parents who choose us!

Character Education: We believe that a school must cultivate a culture of character in order to be a successful learning community.

Academic Achievement: Our chief measure of academic achievement in reading and math is individual student learning gains, which is the growth achieved by a student during one school year.  We believe this is a better measure of a student’s academic progress, and a school’s instructional quality, than the “No Child Left Behind” proficiency ranking.

Economic Sustainability: At Imagine Schools we take living within our means very seriously.  We want our schools to be strong and vibrant both for the children now enrolled and for their children.

New School Development: Because Imagine is not operating as a for-profit, there is no economic incentive for us to grow.  Our goal, however, is to serve the educational needs of as many students in the US as possible.  We are grateful to the parents, community leaders, and local boards who are choosing Imagine Schools as their educational partner.

                                   Shared Values:

--Integrity requires wholeness and completeness with each of us living consistently and balancing the needs and desires of all stakeholders in our schools.

--Justice at our schools means each individual is treated uniquely and appropriately.

--Fun describes our efforts to create joy filled schools where people are able to use their talents to make decisions, take action, and be held responsible for the results.

As we grow together it is my desire to get to know each of you personally and to help your children grow academically, artistically and socially. Together we can achieve success!

Lastly, I would like to share a little about myself with you.

My husband, Roger and I have been married for 25 years and have been blessed with two wonderful children. Briana is a Senior in college spending this coming year studying at Spring Arbor University and in Guatemala. Christian is in the US Army stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas and is preparing for deployment to Afghanistan to serve our country in the US Army. We have lived in Erie, Michigan, for 24 years.

I am grateful to my mother and father who raised 12 children in a rural farming community in northern Maine where the potatoes, moose, and gold are. Their guidance has instilled in me the traits of hard work, kindness, honesty, integrity, and service. We lived in what most would say poverty, but were very rich in spirit. I was the only of 12 to attend college and graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. The course of my life has given me many rich experiences that have led me to where I am today, serving families and children. The Imagine Values of Integrity, Justice and Fun are my core values and I will work hard to instill them in the school environment with each individual. Character is equally important to academic achievement. Imagine is mostly about love and opportunity. Together we can make a difference! I look forward to partnering with you in educating your children! Thank you for choosing Imagine!

                                  Have a blessed school year!

                                  Mrs. Daphne Williams, School Leader
